CONTINUING EDUCATION

Somatopia is pleased to offer the following Continuing Education credits.

To obtain your Continuing Education Credits:

Students must attend all course hours to receive CE credit. Please note that Somatopia is unable to award partial Continuing Education credits. Students will ONLY receive CEs for live training modules that they have attended all hours of live online or in-person.

CE credit is offered for live trainings only. No CE credit is awarded for Video modules, webcasts, or other remote options.

In order to receive continuing education credit , students must arrive in a timely manner to the session. They must also submit their attendance in the Zoom chat by posting a note in the chat with their full professional name followed by the phrase "Here for CE credit."

For example: "Jane Callahan, LMFT – Here for CE credit."

A Zoom attendance report will also be pulled.

NOTE–make sure you check the CEs you are requesting on your post-training evaluation.

The certificate will be emailed directly after you have completed your post-training evaluation, the Post Training evaluation is emailed out at 5pm (Pacific Time) on last day of training.

You will have 2 weeks to complete your Evaluation from the date it is sent. If you are in immediate need of your certificate, or have any reservation on completing the evaluation, please email: [email protected] for CE certificate.

The certificate you receive is sufficient proof of your CEs for most organizations

State Boards may have different requirements or only honor partial credit hours. It is the responsibility of the licensee to check with individual boards to verify CE requirements.

Information on Continuing Education Credit for Health Professionals 

• CE credits for psychologists are provided by the Spiritual Competency Academy (SCA) which is co-sponsoring this program. The Spiritual Competency Academy is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Spiritual Competency Academy maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
• The California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts CE credits for LCSW, LPCC, LEP, and LMFT license renewal for programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association.
• LCSW, LPCC, LEP, and LMFTs, and other mental health professionals from states other than California need to check with their state licensing board as to whether or not they accept programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association
• SCA is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider CEP16887) for licensed nurses in California. RNs must retain their certificate of attendance for 4 years after the course concludes
